We are pleased to announce that our breeder stock of Bardsey Island Apples has finally passed the 2 year quarantine holding period required by the USDA for entry of Malus from the UK .  This breeding stock will now be used to graft and grow out nursery stock for the 2012 bare root season.  The earliest that bare root trees will be available for shipment will be the very end of 2011.

Trees will be available grafted onto different rootstocks which will determine the overall size of the mature tree.  The following rootstocks are available corresponding to the following approximate sizes when pruned regularly:

Dwarf (EMLA 26)                                                         8’ - 14’

Semi-dwarf (EMLA 7)                                                   11’ – 16’

Standard (Antanovka)                                                  25’ – 35’
